“There was no longer any way to establish a point of reference: the Galaxy went on turning but I could no longer count the revolutions, any point could be the point of departure, any sign heaped up with the others could be mine, but discovering it woul have served no purpose, because it was clear that, independent of signs, space didn’t exist and perhaps had never existed.”
—Italo Calvino, “A Sign in Space,” Cosmicomics, 1965.
Yay! I just realized that this is a so called delegated question spot, so because I failed to ask you a question I will ask one now. If you were a tree what type of tree would you be and why?
A willow tree, obviously!
Hi Kathleen, I am tumbling!
Look at you, girl! I just followed you.
Hello, new follower!
Hello! How are you? Sorry to creep, but your blog is phenomenal. : )

The End of Tolkien Reading Day
At the last hour of March, 25th comes the end of our Tolkien Reading Day. I will not say do not weep, for not all tears are an evil. Next year we shall have more to share and to spread, hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.
And thanks to each one of you who took part on this fabulous day! We’re an amazing fandom and I’m sure Tolkien would be proud of us! <3
“The realm of fairy-story is wide and deep and high and filled with many things: all manner of beasts and birds are found there; shoreless seas and stars uncounted; beauty that is an enchantment, and an ever-present peril; both joy and sorrow as sharp as swords. In that realm a man may, perhaps, count himself fortunate to have wandered, but its very richness and strangeness tie the tongue of a traveller who would report them. And while he is there it is dangerous for him to ask too many questions, lest the gates should be shut and the keys be lost.”
—J.R.R. Tolkien, “On Fairy-stories,” Tree and Leaf, in The Tolkien Reader, 1966.
